Diagnostic Transilluminator

If you have a tooth with a chip or crack, then wouldn't it be nice to know how serious this is? Using a diagnostic transilluminator, Dr. Warner is able to focus a beam of cool white light on the suspicious tooth. A healthy tooth without a fracture lights up, however, where there is a crack the light is reflected and on the other side of the crack it is dark.

The scope of oral diagnosis is greatly improved with the transilluminator. It can help distinguish a genuinely serious deep fracture requiring immediate attention to prevent tooth loss; from minute surface craze lines, a more cosmetic condition.

Our primary concern is your care and comfort. Learning the true condition of a tooth and knowing what to expect can provide peace of mind.
